2012
Clash of clans was first released on August 2 2012. In July 2012 Clash of clans came was first released in app store named as project magic. At that time max townhall was 8. Few weeks later on 30th of August the game introduced us by some new defences, decoration and some graphical improvements that gave game some look. In the defences section new Tesla tower was introduced and in decoration flags were introduced.
September 18 2012,
Spells were added, we got lightning spell , heal spell and rage spell. Also replays were added. Some new buildings such as wizard tower. Earlier in the game walls took time to build, So the time to build walls was removed.
October 14 2012,
We got some clan related updates such as,
We got kicked out message and in clan settings trophy requirements was added.
October 27 2012,
Halloween 🎃 update was added also it was the first seasonal update of clash of clans.
Town Hall 9 was introduced and it was the highest level Town Hall. When town hall 9 was released we got a new defence such as x-bow and a new jump spell and the ability to sell buildings was removed.
November 19 2012,
The first update, In this update everything was slightly covered by snow, some new obstacles and Santa spell. Also the ability to boost buildings such as collector's etc was added.
2013
January 10 2013,
Biggest update of Clash of clans new Heros were added, Barberian king and Archer queen. With hero's we also got introduction to dark elixir.
February 5 2013,
2 new traps were added, air bomb (red air bomb) and seeking air mine (black air bomb).
March 12 2013,
Dark elixir troops were added they were minions, hogRiders and Valkyrie and also dark barracks.
April 17, 2013,
League's were added, New troop was added which was golem.
May 23 2013,
NEW Town Hall 10 was introduced, new inferno tower, some extra buildings such as 1 cannon, 1 archer tower , 1 dark elixir drill and a giant bomb.
June 17 2013,
A new freeze spell was added.
After a week ( approximately)
An extra elixir collector and elixir storage was added.
July 28 2013,
A new dark elixir troop, witch was added. Also now we can share our attack replays to clan chat and also an option to mute players in global chat.

Previously traps had no level so now we were able to upgrade them. Most important spells started costing elixir instead of gold. Yes, previously spells costed gold to brew.

Christmas theme was added and multi target ability to inferno was added. Also new inferno level 3 was added
2014

Heroes were given abilities, where king can get ranged and spawn some barbarians next to it and queen had cloak ability and can spawn some archers next to it. Also the new clan role was added, co-leader.

You can now spectate someone during wars.

Lava hound was introduced, a new dark elixir troop.

Multiple layout was added to the village edit mode also now you can watch your base getting attacked live.

Clans now had levels. This helped clan members, now clan was able to level up and earn perks.

Dark spell factory was added. This came with haste spell, poison spell and earthquake spell.
Also 2 more league's were added which were Titan and legend league.

25 new was for town hall 10 was added. Also the can war getting tie was fixed.

NEW Town Hall 11 was introduced, some new defences such as eagle artillery, a new hero "Grand warden". Also some extra defences as Archer tower, wizard tower, cannon and a x-bow. Shields were added to the game. Also during battle +30 seconds was added since town hall 11 was a huge base.
2016
26 January 2016,
Loot cart and treasury in clan castle and star bonus was added.
March 21 2016,
New troop which was bowler, new troop levels and new defence levels.

2 new troops:- miner and baby dragon.
2 new spells :- clone spell and skeleton spell.

Bomb tower was added. Also town hall 11 got 25 more walls.

Biggest update in clash of clans, builder's base was added new defence, new troops etc.
Also some changes in main village such 1 moter and 1 archer tower can be geared up.

New builder hall 6 was introduced, with new builder hall we got new troops "night witch" and new defence "roaster".

New builder hall 7 was introduced, with new builder hall we got new troop "drop ship" and new defence "giant cannon".

New builder hall 8 was introduced, with new builder hall we got new troops "super pekka" and new defence "mega tesla" and some buildings such as traps (3). Also for home village trader was added.

NEW Town Hall 12 was introduced. Along with town hall 12 we got siege machines such as wall Wrecker, battle blimp and siege workshop. New troop "electro dragon". Also you can now change your name multiple times by giving some gems.

Clan war league was added. New trap was added which is tornado trap. New potion "clock tower potion" and magic hammer and new goblin maps.

New dark elixir troop was added "Headhunter". Getting inactive more than 90 days then you will we welcomed back and get some free level update.

NEW Town Hall 14 was introduced. Builder huts were now weaponized and now can fight back during battle. New pet house was introduced. New troop "Dragon rider" was added . New super troop "Rocket balloon" was added and some new levels to defences and and buildings etc.

New super troop was introduced "Super bowler" and now you can set your scenery to random.
December 9 2021,
New super troop was introduced "Super dragon". New siege machine was introduced "Flame finger" and more levels to some buildings.
2022

New Clan capital multiple districts makeup to clan capital and clan palyers work together to upgrade all of those districts. Capital gold can be used to upgrade building in clan capital. Every weekend there is raid where you and your clan members attacked together to others clan. Similarly other clan capitals attacks your clan capital. This raid weekends provides you with some raid medals which you can trade with trader. Forge is a place where you can convert your other resources into capital gold.

Training cost was removed. They also remove flags because flags represented countries and they wanted to separate clash universe from real life.

NEW Town Hall 15 was introduced. With town hall 15 we got some new defences such as, monolith and spell tower with that we were also introduced to new pets which is poison lizard, Phoenix, Diggy and frosty. New troop "Electro Titan". New siege machine "Battle drill" and a new spell "recoil" was added. Both Barracks and dark barracks were cut off and kept to 1.
